The Great
Guitar Scale
Trap

I bet scales, theory, and connecting it all together has never quite ‘clicked’ for you, has it?
I know how you feel.

Have you ever felt “limited” or “boxed in” on the guitar neck...

Found yourself having to “think” too much when you play...

Or felt like your playing sounds “dull” or “mechanical?”

If so, you may be falling into what I call the Great Guitar Scale Trap.

You see, most guitar players who want to learn scales, begin by learning patterns…

And that’s the problem.

They learn “this” pattern...

“That” pattern…

That “other” pattern…

… The whole time thinking each pattern is a scale.

(The worst being the “minor pentatonic scale.” Everybody and their brother, from YouTube gurus to local teachers seem to shout from the rooftops: “Learn the ‘minor pentatonic’ scale!”)

And I just have to shake my head…

Because after 22 years of playing and teaching guitar professionally, recording multiple albums, and owning a private Guitar School…

Little do these well-meaning guitar players know, they’re being set up perfectly to make...

The #1 guitar scale mistake that leads to confusion, feeling “lost”, and a mountain of frustration

Some stay stuck for years...

Most eventually quit.

Yet the irony is...

It’s all so easy to avoid.

Here’s what nobody bothers to tell you…

(Lean forward and pay close attention)...

A “pattern”... is NOT a scale!

Would it be ok if I saved you months or years of headaches?

And opened up a whole new world for you on guitar… right now?

Then let’s go back to the basics.

What IS a scale exactly?

A scale is nothing more than a particular “set” (or group) of notes...

Like: A, B, C… D, E, F… or X, Y, Z.

That’s it. Those could all be different scales.

But…

Here’s a little-known (and magnificently useful) distinction almost all guitar teachers fail to mention

When you play the notes in any “set” (that is, any “scale”)...

It produces an overall sound “theme” or “mood.”

For example, when you play the “minor pentatonic” scale (aka, the minor pentatonic “set of notes”)...

It sounds “bluesy.”

The major “set of notes” sounds “happy” or “bright”...

And the minor “set of notes” sounds “dark” or “sad.”

The takeaway here, is that…

Each scale creates its own unique “mood”

Now picture this...

Imagine holding the guitar in your hands right now.

Background music starts playing.

And you want to play across the neck… and sound “bluesy”.

Now… all the “right” notes are already in place across your entire fretboard.

The question is HOW do you hit them?

Well, you certainly can’t hit all the notes across the fretboard at once…

So we break the fretboard into little “chunks.”

THIS is where patterns come from

Now listen closely...

Here, again, is one of those little golden nuggets nobody bothers to tell you…

Since all those “right” notes across the entire guitar neck are part of the SAME scale (the same set of notes)...

That means there are a thousand ways you could break the fretboard into little ‘patterns’ to play.

Not only that...

Since all those patterns come from ONE scale...

That means every single one of those thousand patterns produces the SAME mood!

You see...

It’s the MOOD we’re after - not any particular pattern!

A pattern is just a TOOL…

… a convenient way to divide up the fretboard into “slices”...

So that it’s easy to hit the notes... IN the scale.

Are you starting to see “scales” a little differently now?

Can you see how… by thinking all those patterns are different scales... it could cause all sorts of confusion?

Or how… trying to “connect them all together”... could cause the fretboard to feel “dis-connected”?

Can you see how... by focusing on the patterns themselves, and not the sounds or “moods” they create…

That it could make your playing sound “mechanical”, like… well, “patterns”... instead of real music?

Just imagine…

What if you could skip over trying to connect all that boring and confusing theory...

Skip over having to think too much…

And skip over sounding “dull” or mediocre?

But instead… just pick up your guitar and start flowing freely…

And express YOUR music - all by feel, instead of having to think about it?

You can do it in less than an hour. And here’s how...

You see, there are only 7 main “feelings” in any song…

And no matter which patterns you play - or where you play them on the neck...

What you’re really doing is playing these same 7 feelings across the guitar neck, over and over again.

THIS is how the pros make it look so EASY…

THIS is how they play all across the neck without thinking.

Because they’re not focused on the “patterns” they’re playing...

They’re simply listening to the “feelings”, the “sounds”, the “moods” they’re hearing!

That’s why they don’t get “boxed in”...

And that’s how they’re free to move up and down the neck.

Fortunately, I’ve found ONE easy pattern anyone can play…

That allows you to play these 7 feelings freely...

So you can...

Pick up your guitar and sound good in any situation, over any song, in any key...

And all in less than an hour from right now.

I know that might sound a bit far-fetched...

Because I felt pretty skeptical when I heard about it for the first time, too.

But the truth is…

Some students literally LAUGH OUT LOUD when they discover how simple it really is.

And that’s why I believe it’s been so effective in helping over 100,000 guitar players finally “rip the cover” off the fretboard and play at the next level…

BECAUSE it’s so simple...

BECAUSE you can finally just pick up the guitar and “flow” - without having to think about it...

BECAUSE the 7 feelings allow you to sound good and musical instead of dull or mechanical.

It opens up a whole new world on the fretboard I’m convinced 97% of guitar players have never seen before

And if you’ve never heard of this before, don’t feel bad…

In today’s era of “information overload” - bad advice seems to drown out those overlooked, simple truths.

Just be glad you found it now.

In a world that’s stuffed with information but starving for guitar playing wisdom…

I believe this one insight is the most overlooked and un-taught aspect of playing guitar today.

And in my experience...

It’s this “AHA” that continues to have the biggest impact for thousands and thousands of students.

That’s why I’ve made it my mission is to help as many guitar players as I can to have this “Aha”...

So you can...

Experience what it’s like to express yourself without limits on the fretboard

Because I KNOW it’s possible for just about any guitar player…

I KNOW how to lead you down that path…

And I’m here to tell you, there’s no feeling like it on this earth!

That’s the reason why I spent 3 long weeks creating a free course to share with guitar players who want to make much faster progress...

To finally understand the “why” behind it all…

And to play guitar at the next level, and then the next, and then the next.

It’s called the Ultimate Lead Guitar Lightbulb Moment.

And as I mentioned, I’m giving away this mini-course - for free - as a special gift to help a select few guitar players accelerate their journey.

Listen…

All it takes is just ONE insight to turn on the “light bulb”…

Which opens the floodgates of fun and fulfillment on guitar.

And for me, and for over 100,000 other students, this is it.

Could it be for you, too?

I highly recommend you claim your free course, right here on this page, to find out.

After all, I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep giving this course away for free...

Because this page is NOT free for me to keep up…

And as soon as the expense gets too high, I’ll be forced to shut down this page immediately.

Which could happen at any minute without notice.

So if you want to play guitar at the next level… DON’T MISS OUT!
