The Biggest Guitar
"AHA"?

“Don't Learn Pentatonic Scales!”...
My student looked at me like I’d lost it.

Just minutes earlier, he walked into my guitar school…

And “unloaded” about his progress:

“I’m so fed up with playing the same old stuff” he sighed.

“I’ve learned all these bits and pieces…

But I just can’t connect it all together!

I feel like the more I learn, the less I know...

It’s all so overwhelming!

With a sour look on his face, he stared at the floor.

To me, it was obvious why he felt stuck.

In fact, after 22 years of playing and teaching professionally…

And after helping hundreds and hundreds of “everyday” guitar players to move up and down the fretboard like they owned it...

This is the single biggest hurdle I see virtually every guitar player face.

For most, they never figure it all out… and end up quitting.

But for a select few, they have that AHA that opens up a “whole new world”…

And eventually go on to play better than they previously ventured to imagine.

That’s why I told him NOT to learn Pentatonic scales…

Or he’d be making things harder for himself…

Unless he learned something far, FAR more important first.

In fact, this “something” is hidden in plain sight, but most guitar players miss it (mostly because hardly anyone talks about it)…

Yet it explains the “big picture” on guitar.

You see, in music, there are only 7 different “sounds”...

(We call these sounds “notes”)...

And each one of these 7 sounds creates a different FEELING

Play any of these 7 sounds, one at a time, and we get a scale…

Play any TWO or more of these 7 sounds - at the same time - and we get a chord.

Virtually ALL the songs we’ve ever heard are made up of different combinations of these same 7 sounds…

Yes, anything from Jimi Hendrix to Pink Floyd…

From The Eagles to Stevie Ray Vaughan…

From Eric Clapton to Prince to Jimmy Page, and on and on and on…

They all used the SAME 7 sounds! Just in different ways.

If that sounds too simple…

That’s a good thing! Because it IS simple!

Now get this...

We know there are a lot of different types of scales out there, right?

However, when we finally connect all those scales together…

It all boils down to just 3 small patterns that repeat all across the guitar neck, over and over again, in every direction.

Just THREE!

And those three little patterns are what allow us to hit all the right notes across the entire guitar neck

For any song that’s in a Major or Minor key (Hint: That’s 99% of songs ever written).

So where do all those scales come in?

Well, imagine we were going to “brick” up the side of a 2-story house.

In order to reach the second level of the house, we have to build scaffolding so we can lay the bricks all the way to the top.

When we’re done laying all the bricks from the bottom to the top…

We then remove the scaffolding, don’t we?

And what are we left with?

A nice, complete brick wall.

On guitar, connecting all those scales across the neck are just like “scaffolding”...

And the “bricks” are those 3 small patterns I mentioned earlier.

Once we “brick” up the entire fretboard with those 3 little patterns...

We remove the “scaffolding” of all those scales…

And we’re left with a nice, completely “bricked” up fretboard…

Containing only THREE repeating patterns!

This connected system of 3 repeating patterns is what I call the “Guitar Grid.”

And those little “bricks” allow us to hit all the right notes without really having to think about it. And here’s why...

In fact, there are TWO main reasons why I believe it’s been so effective in helping hundreds of students finally “rip the cover” off the fretboard and play at the next level:

The first reason is because the Guitar Grid allows us to hit the right notes without really thinking...

Because the patterns are so small...

And because they connect the fretboard together in a way that I’m convinced 95% of guitar players have never seen before.

And the second reason is because each pattern contains the “7 Feelings” in music…

Which is what allows our playing to sound good and musical instead of dull and mechanical (like normal scales).

To be honest...

In a world that’s stuffed full of information but starving for guitar playing wisdom…

I believe this one insight is the most overlooked and un-taught aspect of playing guitar today

And in my experience...

It’s this “AHA” that continues to have the biggest impact for hundreds and hundreds of students.

The truth is, my mission is to help as many guitar players as I can to experience what it’s like to express themselves without limits on the fretboard.

A lofty goal? Maybe. But that’s my mission.

Because I KNOW it’s possible for just about anyone…

I know how to lead guitar players down that path…

And at the end of the day, there’s no feeling like it on this earth!

That’s the reason why I spent 3 long weeks creating a free mini-course to share with guitar players who are serious about their progress.

I designed it specifically for any guitar player who wants to have this “AHA” for themselves…

To finally understand the “why” behind it all…

And play guitar at the next level, and then the next.

It’s called the Ultimate Lead Guitar Lightbulb Moment

And as I mentioned, I’m giving away this mini-course - for free - as a special gift to help a select few guitar players accelerate their journey.

Listen. In my experience, it can take just ONE insight to turn on the “light bulb”…

And open the floodgates of fun and fulfillment on guitar.

And that’s why I highly recommend that any guitar player who wants to have this “light bulb moment” check it out...

After all, I’m not sure how long I’ll keep giving it away for free.
